Metanoia

One facet of Metanoia in the 21st century involves changing our consumer mindset and the culture of materialism.  Easier said then done.  We are immersed in a semi-conscious way of living dictated by the world in which we live.

Change is hard.  Change can mean dying to old ways and rising to new. We ask whether we can live more with less?  And we need fellow travelers to help us find our way.

As derived from Wikipedia- Metanioans claim that the quality of life on Earth is enhanced if we can leap laughing from the life threatening wheel of industrial growth and discover true happiness  in the people around us and our enjoyment of the simple and the real.

Metanoia involves change and reconnection to the qualities that enhance the journey and bring us closer to the source of the Holy where we find true living and loving.  The Emerging Church of the 21st Century is a movement that reflects this yearning and this desire for new and radically different ways of expressing spirituality.  We seek glimpses of the Kingdom to which Seers and Mystics and Saints and Prophets pointed the way.
